Crescent-Shaped Shawl // Design By Mone Dräger
Stunning openwork blends beautifully with Merino Silk Lace for the perfect lightweight accessory. With a stitch pattern that only looks complex (it is amazingly simple), this crescent-shaped shawl promises pure lace bliss.
- yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Lace in Coral Rose (765 yd / 700 m per 3.53 oz / 100 g skein; 50% fine merino, 50% cultivated silk)
-
needles: Size 3 US / 3.25 mm circular needles, 40" / 100 cm long
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge -
gauge: 17 sts and 42 rows = 4" / 10 cm in garter, blocked
18 sts and 22 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Bird's Eye pattern, blocked
Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size - finished measurements: 83” / 210 cm width (wingspan), 21 ½” / 55 cm deep at deepest point (neck to bottom)
Pattern includes a 4-page PDF (both written and charted).
