Something lovely and soft, silky and lacy…that’s the Marietta. Deceptively easy, with eyelets and decreases flowing into a cable-like pattern, this piece is an absolute must for dressing up or winding down.

yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Lace in Mandarin (765 yd / 700 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 50% Merino, 50% Cultivated Silk)
Also shown in 2 skeins SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace in English Ivy (400 yd / 365 m per 1.75 oz / 50 g skein; 55% cultivated silk, 45% cashmere) *retired colourway -
needles: Size 5 US / 3.75 mm needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. -
gauge: Merino Silk Lace version: 26 sts and 28.5 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Marietta pattern, after blocking.
CashSilk Lace version: 23 sts and 23 rows = 4" / 10 cm in fern lace pattern, after blocking.
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements. To save time and ensure accurate sizing, check gauge. -
