A Cabled Cardigan // Design by Joline Vretenar
This chunky knit cardigan is a wardrobe staple for colder weather. A central cable is knit from the bottom up, then stitches are picked up and the sides and sleeves of the cardigan are worked as one piece. This unique sweater will be a favourite for snuggling by the fire.
- yarn: 7 (8, 9, 10, 12, 13) skeins SweetGeorgia Superwash Soft in Tumbled Stone (109 yds / 100 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon)

needles: Size 10 US / 6 mm circular needles, 32" / 80 cm long
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge - gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St stitch using larger needles, after blocking

finished measurements: Chest: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54)" / 87.5 (98, 108, 118.5, 129, 139) cm
Intended to be worn with 2-4" / 5-10 cm positive ease

Note: SweetGeorgia Superwash Soft is now discontinued. We recommend holding two strands of SweetGeorgia Merino DK together to achieve a similar gauge.
