This shawl is designed to use up every inch of a special luxury yarn. The pattern can be modified for any amount of yarn you have available; when you have knit half of your supply, start the decrease portion of this pattern.

yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Fine in Coral Rose (380 yd / 347 m per 3.53 oz / 100 g skein; 50% merino silk, 50% cultivated silk) *discontinued
Yarn substitution option: 1 skein SweetGeorgia CashLuxe Fine (420 yards / 384 m per 4 oz / 115g skein; 70% easy-care merino wool, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon)

needles: Size 3 US / 3.25 mm circular needles, 32" / 80 cm
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. -
gauge:28 sts and 34 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking
Note that gauge is not crucial, but will affect required yardage and finished size. -
finished measurements: slim version - 12" / 30 cm deep and 58" / 148 cm wide
wide version - 16 1/2" / 42 cm deep and 52" / 133 cm wide
