Asymmetrical Lace & Garter Shawl // Design by Tabetha Hedrick
Lace and garter stitch shift, flow, ripple, and move throughout this multi-coloured shawl. Ice Streams is worked sideways, the asymmetrical shape is beautifully enhanced with short rows, texture, and drape. - yarn: 1 SweetGeorgia *Advent 2020 Kit in Winter Wonderland (985 yd / 900 m per 9 oz / 264 g set, 82 yd / 75 m per .75 oz / 22 g mini skin; 80% easy-care merino, 20% nylon) *discontinued

needles: Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needles, 24" / 60 cm long
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. -
gauge: 21 sts and 38 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Even Body pattern, pinned out and fully stretched, after blocking
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage used and final measurements. -
finished measurements: 21 ¼” / 54 cm height (center at deepest point)

Alternative Yarn Options:
Originally designed for our 2020 Advent sets, you can use any combination of 12 fingering-weight yarns and colours, with a minimum of 82 yds / 75 m in each colour.
- Pull from stash fingering-weight yarn remnants, changing colours when you run out
- Use 2 SweetGeorgia Party of Five Tough Love Sock mini-skein sets and adjust colours as desired for the different sections in the shawl
